Knightsbridge Project: Apartment 5
21st October, 2016 /
Photos from a 2 year development project in Knightsbridge. This is the design and creation of 9 Studio apartments over 7 floors. The scheme is dark wood mixed with white walls and lots of textured natural fabrics in linens, wools and velvets which bring in a hit of colour. This is the main show apartment. Two more to follow….

Cinema Rooms
20th January, 2016 /
They may be referred to with different names such as Media Room, Entertainment Room etc but for most the ‘Cinema Room’ requirements are invariably the same: Comfort & cosiness. To me this means rich colours, textured fabrics to bring warmth and big fluffy blankets to snuggle under during movie time.
Practically speaking, sound is a big factor within these rooms. Fabric stretched walling is the perfect sound buffer plus has the advantage of giving warmth and depth to the room. A recently completed cinema room had navy blue ‘suede’ wallpaper and heavy wool curtains in the same tone. This gave the room a totally cocooned feeling once the curtains were drawn and the lights were lowered in anticipation of the afternoon matinee……..

Completed Project: Hertfordshire
12th July, 2015 /
Here is a project completed October 2014 and photographed earlier this year.
The client was very particular with the brief; clean, modern and very white with accents of grey. Something fun and funky! Scale was played with in the Entrance hall and Dining Room by adding large ‘paper’ items such as the chandelier and floor standing lamp. The floor throughout the ground floor is white resin with a few rugs thrown in for warmth.
The Garden Room leads off of the Dining Room and out to the Swimming Pool Room across the Patio so it was logical to bring the outside in with a little green in this room. The Mirror in antique and links back to the windows.
The only room with any real colour is the home cinema which I wanted to make comfortable and cosy. The textures of the navy blue suede wallpaper and heavy wool curtains help with the cinema sound insulation as well as give a nice vibe. The room is all blue, including the ceiling, to unify the space.

Organic Living
13th February, 2015 /
Today I’ve been thinking about organic interiors; those that bring the outside in, are full of texture and natural finishes. Think wood, washed linen, (fake) furs, wool, coir, plants, wicker……..

Paola Navone….
24th September, 2014 /
Having recently been introduced to Paola Navone through my discovery of her furniture collection with Gervasoni, I was delighted to hear that she had gone into collaboration with Rubelli to produce a collection of fabrics under the Dominique Kieffer umbrella. Paola’s passion for relaxed imperfection is evident within this wonderfully tactile collection; beautifully woven tweeds in aqua blues with a hint of orange, textured linens and an amazing over scaled quilted velvet. To top that off the styling is impeccable…….all in a very imperfect way, naturally.
See for yourself……
